Never place it in a microwave. Rapid microwave heating inside a sealed ceramic cup can cause pressure buildup and lead to bursting or shattering.2.Prevent Thermal Shock: High‑quality porcelain is incredibly durable but sensitive to sudden, extreme temperature changes. Never place a cold coddler into already‑boiling water. Similarly, never take a piping‑hot coddler out of the pot and place it on a cold stone countertop, in a metal sink, or under cold water.3.Always Use a Steamer Rack: Never allow the ceramic bottom to directly touch the metal bottom of your cooking pot. The intense, concentrated heat from the burner will cause the porcelain to crack. Always place a steamer rack, a silicone mat, or a folded cloth inside the pot to lift the coddler away from direct heat.4.Do Not Overtighten the Lid: When twisting the ceramic lid on, simply turn it until it feels comfortably secure. Do not use forceful pressure to lock it tight.
